Career Services Staff Bios

Scott Turner

Scott recently joined the Sol Price career services team as the Director. Prior to this role he served as associate director of MBA Career Services in the USC Marshall School since 2005. During that time he created and deployed comprehensive career development planning for full-time and part-time MBA students and developed over 30 workshops annually on topics ranging from job search strategies to personal branding. Scott established and cultivated contacts with employers, increasing job placement opportunities by 25 percent. He has deep knowledge of career services and the USC campus.

Prior to his work at USC Marshall, Scott worked for nine years as a financial analyst and then as a specialist in operations resource development at Mattel, Inc. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.

Julie Labich

Julie Labich recently joined USC Price’s Office of Career Services as the Associate Director of Employer Relations. In this role, Julie will focus on employer engagement and building on-campus recruiting programs. Julie has an extensive background in employer relations and talent acquisition, and has been with USC for more than a decade. She has worked in career services for the Marshall School’s MBA and undergraduate programs, where she managed and built strategic relationships with employers.

Prior to joining USC, Julie worked in consumer marketing and community relations for GCI Group (now Cohn & Wolfe). In addition to her client work, Julie created training and development programs for new hires and college interns. She also worked in the talent acquisition group at DirecTV, focusing mostly on summer internship recruiting.

Seema Yedavalli

Seema joined the Price School as Assistant Director of Career Services in May of 2012. She has a strong background in career services and student affairs, having served for four and a half years as a career services specialist and admissions recruiter at local colleges. Prior to beginning a career in student affairs, Seema was the Assistant Director of a learning center which provides educational services to K-12 students. In addition to having her MPA degree with an emphasis in management and leadership, she is also graduate of USC’s Political Science undergraduate program, contributing to her passion and knowledge of the USC culture and the field of public administration. She also has a strong, personal interest in education which has led her to pursue volunteer work locally and internationally.

In her role, Seema provides career advisement and professional development to students, works closely with employers, and manages career services programming and events.

Lisa Luna

Lisa Luna has been part of the Career Services team since fall 2009. She has seven years of experience in higher education including career services, recruitment, and academic planning. In addition she spent five years in the healthcare industry serving as an office manager for a large private practice facility and as a freelance program coordinator for pharmaceutical sales force training.

Lisa received both of her degrees from the University of La Verne. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Leadership and Management with a concentration in Organizational Development.

As the Career Services Coordinator, she organizes Career Services events, maintains USC Price’s on-line job database PriceNet, coordinates the international summer internship programs, and provides student advisement.
