Career Services Staff Bios


Valerie Savior

Valerie Savior is the Director of Career Services at USC Price. Prior to joining the Price School, Valerie served for 10 years as the Director of Occidental College’s career development center. In that role, she directed the center’s employer relations, experiential learning program and career counseling, and oversaw tremendous growth in the center’s programs and the number of students served.

She brings extensive experience in team management, stakeholder relations, program development, a keen understanding of student needs and excellent communication skills to the Price community. Valerie works closely with the vice dean for academic affairs and the department chairs to develop and implement an innovative plan to provide career services to undergraduate and graduate students at the Price school.

Allyson Himelstein

Allyson Himelstein is Price’s Career Services Assistant Director. Prior to arriving in Los Angeles, she was an assistant director at the Anti-Defamation League, an executive recruiter in Manhattan, a guest lecturer at NYU’s Career Center, and most recently, a career advisor at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Currently, Allyson manages career education and programming for undergraduate and graduate students at the Price School.

Allyson has her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. In her free time, she is the Chairwoman of the Young Leadership Board of Smile Train, a nonprofit organization that provides cleft lip and palate surgeries to children in developing countries. She is a voracious reader and loves exploring new cities on foot.
