Dr. Erin Trish is an Assistant Research Professor at the USC Price School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on private healthcare markets in the US, including how public policy affects how these markets function. Her dissertation research focused on the offsetting effects of the level of competition among insurers on health insurance premiums. Current projects include the impact of insurance market regulations on employer-sponsored health insurance benefits, evaluating factors that impact prices negotiated between healthcare payers and providers, and understanding drivers of healthcare spending.
She graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health in 2013 with a doctorate in Health Policy and Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics and the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
