Artemis — Greek Goddess of the Hunt

artemis3

Artemis: a state-of-the-art, high-tech, fine-tuned monument to perfection in the art and science of sailing and fiberglass construction. Built by Catalina Yachts, a California-based company, Artemis provides students and experience in modern equipment and the conveniences of winches and ball bearings. Sometimes out-maneuvering and out-pacing the Atlantas across the San Pedro Channel, she is a pure joy to sail, and the arch-nemesis of Capt. Remsburg.

A tough ship, she has suffered more than her share of maladies caused by irreverent charterers and unwatched students with black-soled shoes. She leads a truly charmed life, and we are privileged to cross the high seas with her solidly under foot.
