The Atlantas, documented by the U.S. Coast Guard as a Sail and Seamanship training vessel, is a rare 51-foot replica if the famed racing schooner, Bluenose, which is embossed on the Canadian dime. She was hand-crafted in Nova Scotia under the direction of Master Carpenter David Stevens (assisted by Capt. Remsburg, her owner since “birth”). Modeled after Bluenose, her rigging and design are, of course, traditional. In spite of tradition, she is also outfitted with state-of-the-art navigation and safety equipment. Every effort has been made, however, to preserve her traditional interior. From her library to her ornaments and all the traditional instruments in between, she leaves her crew with the sense of having sailed on a truly classic yacht.
