Mark Gamble is the Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer with the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC). HASC is a not-for-profit regional trade association comprised of 180 member hospitals. The mission of HASC is to serve the political, economic, informational and educational needs of hospitals and to help improve the quality and accessibility of health care services in southern California.

Gamble is the senior executive responsible for the division that provides hospitals with programs and services in the areas of quality and patient safety, performance improvement, operational data analytics, human resource management, and patient access services. The division also has responsibility for much of the HASC’s internal operations, including: membership and education, publications and information technology. Gamble is also on the Board of Directors for LA Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest Medi-Cal managed care health plan.

Prior to his appointment as SVP/COO, Gamble served as Regional Vice President for the greater Los Angeles area from September 2003 to March 2008, and provided leadership in public policy and advocacy associated with health care for more than 120 constituent hospitals and health care systems.

Gamble has held many positions within HASC since he joined the organization in 1995. This has allowed him to gain a broad level of experience in health care and association management.
