David Belson is an adjunct professor at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. He is an engineer, lecturer, and researcher with over 35 years of experience in industrial engineering. For the past 40 years, he has taught for the School of Engineering at USC.
Having received three research grants in health care, Dr. Belson is currently studying the improvement of patient flow in hospitals. He is working on multiple projects with L.A. General Hospital, and the California HealthCare Foundation. Earlier in his career, Dr. Belson served as a Consulting Manager in the Health Care, and Operation Research group at Ernst & Young.
Dr. Belson received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master of Science in Engineering and Business Administration from UCLA, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Economics from USC.
