Thomas Collins

Thomas Collins has served as an adjunct professor at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy since 2002. He currently serves as a consultant in curriculum planning and design for the Executive Masters Degree program in Health Care Administration. His areas of specialization are strategy formation, implementation, and leadership development.

Professor Collins has extensive experience working in both education and health administration. He is the president and founder of Strategy Advisors, a Southern California based healthcare consulting firm. Previously, he has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Health Services, and as the chair of their Health System Board of Directors. As the assistant superintendent of schools for the Long Beach Unified School District, Professor Collins oversaw the operation of the Human Resources division. He also served as the vice-principal at Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Professor Collins received his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and K-14 teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach. He earned his Ed.D from USC.
