Policy Outreach

Capitol Dome

The mission of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is to educate leaders and produce knowledge that improves problem solving on the most critical issues facing society. The ultimate goal is to contribute in a practical way to the betterment of communities here and abroad. The policy outreach program of the USC Price School in Sacramento supports this mission by working to bridge research and policy communities so that policy decisions are informed by the highest level of research available.

The policy outreach program creates opportunities for USC faculty and students to directly interact with California state policymakers and the media through:

  • Policy luncheons events featuring current USC Price School research covering a broad spectrum of topics including immigration, education and housing policy;
  • Collaborative projects with state government agencies that can benefit from the expertise of USC Price School faculty and researchers; and
  • Policy briefs that apply USC Price School research to addressing major policy issues in California.

The policy outreach program is a collaborative effort between the USC Price School and the USC State Government Relations Office. Staff members include:

  • Janet Denhardt, Director, USC Price School in Sacramento
  • Janet Lopez, Executive Director, State Government Relations, USC
