Research on CA’s Decreasing Child Population Featured in NBC News

January 14, 2013

NBC News San Francisco affiliate KNTV-TV featured research by Dowell Myers of the USC Price School and colleagues finding a decline in California’s child population. Hispanic Business reported that after decades of worry about overpopulation, the slowdown of immigration has reversed the trend. “Kids are no longer overrunning us. Now they’re in short supply,” Myers said. The research was also covered by ABC News Buffalo, N.Y., affiliate WKBW-TV; NPR News Rochester, N.Y., affiliate WXXI-AM; and the Times-Union.
