USC Price School of Public Policy

Academics

Students in the Price School of Public Policy (USC Price) receive advisement by faculty advisors as well as by Student Services Advisors. When students are admitted to or declare a USC Price degree program, they are assigned both a Faculty Advisor and Student Services Advisor.

The Faculty Advisor:

  • assists students in narrowing their areas of interest
  • selects faculty members who have similar interests
  • apprises students of academic and professional development opportunities

The Student Services Advisor assists the students with all administrative aspects of their academic progress at USC, including:

  • exceptions
  • satisfying prerequisites
  • filing for graduation

The undergraduate Student Services Advisor assists students in class selection and, when appropriate, lifts advisement holds. Students are encouraged to seek advisement from their advisors each semester prior to registration each semester.
