About the Southern California Policy Review
The Southern California Policy Review, or SCPR, is the newest iteration of a two decade tradition at the USC Price School of Public Policy. In 1995, The Graduate Students of Policy, Planning and Development (PPD) created a bi-annual publication showcasing current student’s work. In 1999, this student publication was formalized as the Policy and Practice Journal. For our twentieth anniversary, we have transformed the journal from an academic to a more professional focus.
Our hope is to publish a variety of articles reflective of the areas of study at the Price School. These include Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Health Administration, and Non-profit Management. The editorial staff is composed of graduate students in each of these major degree programs at the Price School. We accept submissions from graduate students at schools of public policy nationwide in an effort to create an outlet for the exploration of important policy concerns in Southern California and beyond.
