This fall, the USC Price School of Public Policy offered a new course on the “Foundations of Decision Analysis,” helping students develop rules of thought that will transform complex decisions into simpler ones where the course of action is clear.
“This course has been designed through years of experience teaching business and public policy leaders as well as at-risk teens. Its purpose is to improve decision-making in personal and professional life,” said taught by Professor Ali Abbas, who teaches the course.
Abbas serves as director of the USC Center for Interdisciplinary Decisions & Ethics (DECIDE), a collaboration between the Price School and the Viterbi School of Engineering. He also coauthored the book, Foundations of Decision Analysis (Pearson, 2016).
