USC study: Immigrants fueling homeownership demand
The Wall Street Journal featured research by Professor Dowell Myers of the USC Price School, John Pitkin of USC’s Population Dynamics Research Group and colleagues, finding that immigrant homebuyers will generate almost 36 percent of the increased demand for homes this decade. Immigrant homebuyers “really filled a big hole” in the last decade, Myers told USA Today. “The native born were absent in the last decade. Now, they’re more present.” The research was also covered by KPCC-FM, the Orange County Register and AOL News.
