Bill Leach is an interdisciplinary social scientist who conducts applied, theory-driven research for a variety of public agencies and non-profit organizations on a wide range of issues including governance, natural resources, education, emergency management, and health policy. His studies of collaborative watershed management have been cited over 1,000 times, and appear in the leading journals in public administration, public policy, political science, and planning. Prior to joining USC, Dr. Leach served as Research Director for the Center for Collaborative Policy at California State University, Sacramento, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Administration, where he taught graduate courses on collaborative planning, economics, and research methods. He is currently writing a book on public economics, provisionally subtitled Essential Ideas and Values for Building Wealthy Families, Communities, and Nations.
