The objective of USC Price’s Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program is to prepare students for employment upon graduation. A performance indicator for that objective is client satisfaction with the quality of student professional skills in the capstone, required at the end of the MUP degree. At the end of the capstone, clients are asked about their experience with USC Price’s MUP program and students. Prior clients have indicated that they are impressed and satisfied with their overall experience and our students’ recommendations. The clients who responded indicated that the capstone reports produced were well-written and responsive to the needs of the organization.
MUP students prove to be tremendously successful as evidenced by their job placement rates and pass rates for the AICP exam (the first step in becoming a certified planner).
