Where are you currently working, and what is your role within the organization?
During my time at Price I was given an opportunity to intern with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. After working for several months, I was offered a full time career-ladder position as an Investigator.
What excites you about the opportunity?
The most exciting thing about working for the FDA is that every day is a new challenge. Whether I am dealing with new medical devices, drugs, or biologics I am constantly learning. Also, I work with a great group of people that take the agency’s responsibility of protecting public health very seriously.
How has your experience at the Price School prepared you for the next step of your career?
When I entered the Health Administration program at Price, I was set on becoming an administrator at a hospital. While taking courses at Price, I gained an interest in health policy and public health. Price helped me realize that health or healthcare is a dynamic field with a wide range of possibilities. I was also able to develop stronger interpersonal skills in the program that will be very helpful as I embark on my career.
Are there any other reflections you’d like to share about your time at Price?
My time at Price has been great. I am thankful for my professors and MHA staff. Most importantly though, I am thankful for all the great friends that I made during my time here. Our future is bright.
