As we navigate our current circumstances which have already led to the cancellation of programs and events that have been planned for months and forced a move to online only classes, I ask that we reflect on what fewer face to face interactions might mean for us all.
I say all of this just as a reminder to encourage us all to do what it takes to stay connected. It is important that we are mindful of the fact that the changes that are designed to keep us safe also have the potential to isolate us. As the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I ask each of you to join me in making sure our connections and relationships remain a priority. Take the time to check in on one another and if you have a best practice for doing so make sure that you share that with the rest of us. Finally, if you actually have a spring break, enjoy it and always Fight On.
Peace and be well.
P.S. Be on the lookout for the following when you get back: our new DEI logo and our SEES logo and first award winners.
