A Policy Discussion on Care and Coverage Approaches

California is aging faster than the rest of the nation, and many residents struggle with serious illness and uncoordinated, expensive and often unnecessary medical care. Given this, the

USC Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics and Cedars-Sinai are holding a conference to examine the state's readiness to meet the needs of this population going forward. National and California perspectives will be presented on care and payment models to serve this population, aiming to identify and advance policies that will make better, higher value care a reality for all Californians with serious illness.
