Position Description and Qualifications:

The Sol Price School of Public Policy invites applications for a Professor (Teaching) of Health Management, rank open. This is a full time, fixed-term, renewable position.

Applicants should hold an advanced degree and demonstrate strength in management and administration of health care delivery systems as well as excellent teaching capability. Applicants are encouraged from the disciplines of management, health finance, health policy analysis or related fields. Previous teaching experience is essential and professional experience in health care administration at the executive level is highly desirable.

The appointment will involve teaching responsibilities in the School’s Executive Master of Health Administration. This program is offered as a hybrid on-line degree. Possible courses include those in executive leadership, health finance, health information technology, and quality of care. The expected course load is 24 units (6 courses per year).

The mission of the Price School is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities, here and abroad. The Price School offers Ph.D. programs in Public Policy and Management and Urban Planning; masters’ degrees in Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Health Administration, and Real Estate Development; executive masters’ degrees; and an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree.
