Overview: I am an applied microeconomist studying topics in health and labor economics. My research focuses on: (1) socioeconomic disparities in health and wellbeing; and (2) the economic burdens of chronic diseases. For the former, I am interested in estimating the impacts of social policies, economic circumstances, and geographic location on health and wellbeing outcomes. For the latter, I am interested in understanding how chronic diseases impact individuals’ ability to engage in work and other productive activities, especially for older Americans, and the economic benefits of preventing and managing chronic diseases.
