The Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) was founded in 1943 by a group of Mexican entrepreneurs. Through 31 campuses located all over the country, 10 academic programs are offered. These areas include business and management, law, social sciences and humanities, communication and journalism, health, design and applied art, architecture, engineering and science, information technologies and electronics, and agriculture and food. In 2014, ITESM hosted 4,892 international students from more than 73 countries and 500 universities around the world.
