Donald Hufford is an adjunct professor at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Western Health Advantage, a provider-sponsored not-for-profit regional HMO in Northern California. His responsibilities in medical management include quality improvement, utilization management, credentialing, disease management, and health promotion.
Previously, Professor Hufford also served as the Managed Care Medical Director for the MedClinic Medical Group, a multi-specialty medical group in Sacramento, California. As the director, he was responsible for specific care management programs such as an anti-coagulation clinic and senior care.
Professor Hufford received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from USC, and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School.
