Larik Malish is Director of Application Architecture at Keck Medicine of USC, where he is responsible for strategic oversight of clinical and revenue cycle applications. He oversees the continued growth of the electronic health record in three hospitals, a growing base of ambulatory clinics and joint ventures, and is responsible for maintaining a seamless and coordinated patient experience through population health applications. At Keck Medicine of USC, Larik sits on the Patient Family Advisory Committee and the Keck PRIDE Task Force, designing and implementing strategies for a welcoming environment for patients, families and employees. Larik also serves as adjunct faculty professor at the University of Southern California, Sol Price School of Public Policy. As a teacher with a passion for advancing innovation in health delivery and management, Larik’s curriculum in Health Information Technology transcends technical, regulatory, ethical, and financial topics, engaging students with a holistic approach to Health IT.
Prior to joining USC, Larik was a key member at Sharp Healthcare Information Systems in San Diego, where he was a certified Lean Six Sigma Change agent. Larik formerly served as a global health IT consultant with Cerner Corporation, advising health systems in revenue cycle design and build.
Larik received a bachelor of science in management information systems from the University of Arizona and a master’s in Leadership of Healthcare Organizations from the University of California, San Diego.
