For the first time, USC Price is bringing its distinguished Master of Public Administration (MPA) program into the distance learning arena. The online degree program was designed and developed with the working professional in mind — combining the comprehensive focus of the USC Price’s traditional MPA with the convenience and portability of distance learning.
In addition to convenience and portability, collaboration remains a key component of the online MPA curriculum. Effective public management professionals operate in cooperation with other agencies and sectors. USC Price faculty is committed to preparing decision makers to become the leaders that our future demands.
Thanks to the USC Price distance learning technologies, students can enjoy the value of real-time collaboration that is familiar, and valued, in traditional MPA programs. Unlike traditional programs, the online MPA offers the opportunity to share without the constraints of common schedules — students can post questions and observations any time of day. There will be at least two times students will get together face-to-face. One session is tied to the introductory class and one session tied to the capstone course. These sessions, called residencies, will take place in Los Angeles as well as in geographic regions from around the U.S. where on-line students reside.
