Dr. Mike Nichol received his Ph.D. in public administration from USC. He currently directs the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development’s graduate program in health and chairs the university’s health collaborative. His areas of expertise are health policy, health economics, health care costs and resource utilization.
Dr. Kavita Patel is a fellow in the Brookings Institution economic studies program and the managing director for clinical transformation and delivery at the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform. Her work focuses on health care payment and delivery system innovation and reform; health care economics and biostatistics; patient-centered care and quality improvement. (Dr. Patel is replacing the previously scheduled speaker Joshua S. Benner, who is unable to join us on September 21st.)
