Big Sunday 2010

Volunteer with SPPD on Big Sunday ’10!

Big Sunday is the largest annual citywide community service event in America. Thousands of volunteers from across Los Angeles join Big Sunday the first weekend of May to help improve the communities all over the city. It is a time for community building – with volunteers of every age and from every walk of life – working together to help others.

This year, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development will join an Inner City Education Foundation (ICEF) Public Schools beautification project near USC campus. Please join us on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Frederick Douglass Middle and High School: 3200 W. Adams Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90018.

Projects will include: build planters, install athletic equipment, clean up campus, and paint murals.

Volunteers should RSVP using the link below and plan to gather at
Frederick Douglass Middle and High School at
8:00 a.m. on May 1, 2010 to receive a free USC volunteer T-shirt.
