Captain Nicholas Patitsas was born in Allentown, PA. He graduated with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Mandarin Chinese. Following his studies, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and reported to the Basic School in Quantico, VA. In August 2015 First Lieutenant Patitsas attended Personnel Administration School at Camp Johnson, NC and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marines located at Camp Lejeune, NC as the Battalion Adjutant.
While serving with the “Beirut Battalion,” First Lieutenant Patitsas was responsible for the manpower management, legal, and general administration of more than 1,000 infantry and combat service support Marines and Sailors. In 2016 he deployed to Romania and Norway in support of Black Sea Rotational Force 16.1. In 2017 he deployed to Japan and Korea for Unit Deployment Program 17-2.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Captain Patitsas is married to the former Andrea Radu of Mobile, AL. Together they have two daughters – Georgiana 4, and Maria 2.
