Readiness and Resilience
Dr. Laree Kiely, President of We Will and The Kiely Group–Organizational Effectiveness Consultants–currently serves on the executive program faculties of Duke CE, USC Sol Price School, Thunderbird International Business School, Ivey University (Toronto, Canada), and UCLA in the fields of strategy, strategic planning, executive leadership and organizational development bridging all four sectors: Government, Non-Profit, Education, and Corporate/Private. She also served for 15 years on the faculty of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where she taught in the graduate programs, Executive MBA, executive education, and founded and directed the school’s Center for Teaching Excellence. Her work has taken her to clients all over the world.: the US, Canada, the UAE, Europe, South Africa, Australia, the Czech Republic, and the People’s Republic of China.
After traveling extensively for many years, life changes and family health issues brought Laree back state-side where she now focuses on North American, US, and California-specific issues working on creating more 21st Century leadership and cross-sector and cross-politic solutions. Her ability to bring polarized and conflicting groups together to co-create non-compromised outcomes clearly demonstrates that people are more powerful than problems.
Prior to joining the faculty at USC, Dr. Kiely led Technology Services in an international Fortune 500 firm. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Colorado and her Ph.D. from the Annenberg School, University of Southern California. Simply stated, the focus of her research and practitioner efforts is on how people interact with information and how we interact with each other for more positive impact with no more effort.
Dr. Kiely is the recipient of several awards including one of Brandon Hall’s 2017 Best Advance in Leadership Development Awards for our program in partnership with Blue Shield of California: “Lead to Excellence: Co-creating the Future Using Integrated Thinking.” Past awards include the USC “Golden Apple” Award for Teaching Excellence; the Distinguished Professor award from the EMBA Programs; and the “Teacher of the Year” Award from the USC Food Industry Management Program. Her eLearning Course called “Leading the Global Workforce” was awarded the Best eLearning Program by the International Distance Learning Association. She has also been awarded the “Most Significant Contribution by an Individual to eLearning” award; the overall “Excellence in eLearning Teaching”; and her course on “Negotiation: Plays, Ploys, and Pitfalls” was granted the Best eLearning Program for Corporate Development. The International Society for Performance Improvement also awarded Dr. Kiely the “Best Instructional Product or Intervention” recognition.
