The USC Price Center on National Defense and Public Safety proudly hosted Women Leading The Way, a Women’s History Month panel on March 11 that brought together an inspiring group of women leaders shaping the future of public safety and civic leadership. Moderated by Jessie Redd, Managing Director of Public Safety Initiatives, the conversation created space for honest reflection, powerful storytelling, and meaningful dialogue centered on leadership, resilience, and impact.
The panel featured Assistant Chief Emada Tingirides of the Los Angeles Police Department, Councilwoman Ana Maria Quintana of the City of Bell, and Michelle Constant, CEO and Founder of Constant Associates. Each panelist shared their personal and professional journeys, highlighting both the challenges and breakthroughs they’ve experienced in traditionally male-dominated fields. From mentorship and ethical decision-making to navigating the evolving landscape of public safety, the discussion emphasized the importance of intentional leadership and the responsibility to uplift and empower the next generation.
More than just a panel, Women Leading The Way served as a reminder of the power of representation and collaboration. It reinforced a shared commitment to strengthening institutions, building community trust, and creating pathways for future leaders. We are grateful to our incredible panelists and attendees for contributing to such a dynamic and impactful conversation and for continuing to lead the way forward. Check out the full video here.
