Certificate in Transportation Systems

expo-line-study_3798

With more people living in cities and urban areas than ever before, transportation systems are critical to managing sustainability and the demands of a rapidly growing population.  Engineering these systems requires understanding policies and analytical methods that solve problems of the present, with an eye on the future.

The Certificate in Transportation Systems is an interdisciplinary program administered by the USC Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Students specialize in transportation applications while simultaneously receiving a degree in their home department. Combining transportation engineering with transportation policy, planning and project management, this certificate program is especially appropriate for students intending to pursue careers as developers of transportation technologies or as practitioners who will implement technologies within government agencies.
