Public Policy

Adam Douglas Henry, Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona, is an affiliated member of the University of Arizona's Institute of the Environment. His talk is titled: Belief Change in an Evolving Environmental Policy Network, and his research focuses on questions of policy learning and sustainable development, particularly how networked groups of actors in the policy process collaborate to manage complex and divisive issues of environmental policy and sustainability.
George W. McCarthy, president and CEO of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, spoke about the millennial challenge of sustaining municipal fiscal health during a March 3 Urban Growth Seminar hosted by the Price School. Based in Cambridge, Mass., the Lincoln Institute is a think tank that focuses on the health and sustainability of cities both nationally and globally.

The field of public policy, at its core, produces social change. Policy analysts inform and shape the public programs and efforts that improve life in all communities. They integrate leadership with analytical and quantitative skills to promote social and economic well-being.
