USC Price is ranked #3 among 275 schools nationwide

A Message from Dean Jack H. Knott

U.S. News & World Report has just released the 2021 rankings for Best Graduate Schools in Public Affairs. The USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is proud to maintain our rank of No. 3 among 275 public affairs schools nationwide.

U.S. News also ranks public affairs categories within schools, and we continue to have several programs rated within the top five with representation in nearly all categories in the top ten: Urban Policy (No. 2), Nonprofit Management (No. 3), Local Government Management (No. 5) and Health Policy and Management (No. 5). U.S. News & World Report rankings of public affairs schools are based solely on peer surveys, with this year’s ranking conducted in fall 2019. Annual rankings provide an opportunity to reflect current trends and accomplishments, and we expect to see fluctuations from year to year. Due to a two-way tie for No. 1, U.S. News did not list anyone in the No. 2 spot.

As we celebrate this news, we also remember that the value of our school has never been calculated by rankings alone, but rather the impact of our scholarly pursuits and ability to improve the quality of life for people and communities, here and abroad. Our USC Price community represents thousands of students, faculty, staff and alumni who work tirelessly to contribute knowledge to our fields and to serve communities around the world. There is much to be proud of, including this honor that reflects our position as an undisputed leader in public affairs, urban planning and real estate education.

I would like to thank our dedicated alumni, donors and friends who support USC Price with their enthusiasm, time and generosity. Our community’s support plays a critical role in our success and aspirations of becoming the top school in the nation.
