LT Krishna Peri, a native of Danville, CA graduated from the Athenian School in 2014. He graduated with high honor from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and earned his commission through Georgia Tech NROTC. In January 2019, he reported to Charleston, SC to complete nuclear power school and prototype. While in the nuclear pipeline LT Peri earned his Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
In September 2020, after completing the submarine officer and nuclear training pipeline, LT Peri reported aboard the USS NEWPORT NEWS (SSN 750) in Groton, CT, where he served as the Main Propulsion Assistant, Assistant Weapons Officer and Quality Assurance Officer. His tour started with the ship completing a nine month Dry-docking Selected Restricted Availability and culminated with a historic six month deployment to the EUCOM area of responsibility. The ship earned two Submarine Squadron 12 Battle Efficiency āEā awards.
He currently serves as an Officer Instructor teaching Naval Engineering and Weapons at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
LT Peri has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various campaign and unit awards.
