LT Galli is a native of Cupertino, California and a graduate of California Maritime Academy with a B.S. in International Business and Logistics. He commissioned through Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island in 2017. Upon completion of Basic Division Officer Course, he reported to USS DEWEY (DDG 105) in San Diego, California as an Engineering Division Officer. He attended Tactical Tomahawk Watch Officer course and completed Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training on USS RUSSEL (DDG 59) before qualifying as Officer of the Deck and Surface Warfare Officer in 2019. Upon completion of Surface Navigator and Advanced Division Officer Courses in 2020, he returned to DEWEY as Navigator. He also spent time as Navigator on USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) before returning to DEWEY to homeport shift from San Diego to Yokosuka, Japan. While forward deployed, he qualified as Engineer Officer of the Watch and completed three SEVENTH FLEET patrols to the South and East China Seas.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
