Overview: Alexandra F. Kritikos, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. Her research agenda takes a multidisciplinary perspective focusing on addiction, health policy, and how the healthcare system delivers and finances treatment for addiction services. Dr. Kritikos’ prior work spans multiple systems related to individual-level substance abuse as well as macro-level prevention while demonstrating a deep theoretical grounding in health economics. She primarily explores how the policies in illegal or imperfect markets impact the behavior of their actors. Her current research includes work on cannabis regulatory policy, commercialization, youth cannabis use, and the development of improved data and methods for assessing substance use and the policies targeting it.
