Biography

Lisa Ozaeta, DrPH, JD, MBA is an assistant professor at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Dr. Ozaeta teaches courses in health finance, strategy, health information technology and innovation. Her research interests include shared decision making, innovation, and physician/hospital relationships. In addition to teaching full time, Dr. Ozaeta is an attorney and consultant with more than 25 years of senior executive healthcare experience.

Dr. Ozaeta holds a DrPH from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, a MBA from Yale School of Management, and a JD from OCU School of Law.

Dr. Ozaeta’s current research focuses on increasing patient and family engagement in primary care through better communication and shared decision making.
