City County Management Fellowship

The City/County Management Fellowship, built upon 80 years of expertise in public administration at USC, was formed in 2006, and brings outstanding graduate students from around the world to the University of Southern California.

Only a handful of elite Fellows are selected each year to receive financial, academic and professional support from prestigious faculty, staff and practitioners in the field of city and county management.

The Fellowship is committed to building the future of city and county management in Southern California, across the U.S., and abroad.

Growing up in South Central, Los Angeles, I experienced and observed many changes in my community and surrounding neighborhoods. I realized that my community’s needs were not accurately represented in local decisions, and it sparked my career interest in local government to bridge the gap between my community and the government sector. I chose to attend USC because the City/County Management Fellowship equips students with the knowledge, skills, and network to become proactive, local government leaders. CMF has connected me with an extensive network of local government professionals who have participated in new initiatives and decisions that have positively impacted my life as a Los Angeles resident. I am extremely grateful to have an inspiring and supportive network in CMF, and I look forward to applying for internship and work positions in the field of local government.
