Dual Degrees

Finding effective solutions to challenges of the 21st century requires that we consider multiple perspectives and involve knowledge spanning a range of interrelated fields. USC and the Price School place a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to learning, and we create a scholarly environment in which new conversations spark at intersections.

In addition, academic departments and professional schools offer numerous advanced degrees that integrate two or more fields or allow students to earn two credentials concurrently.

Master of Health Administration/Master of Gerontology

The MHA/MSG dual degree fosters a contemporary skill set with which students can draw upon in their careers managing long-term care facilities or agencies providing services to the aging.

Department of Governance and Management

Master of Public Administration/Master of Arts, Jewish Nonprofit Management (MPA/MA)

The Master of Public Administration/Master of Arts in Jewish Nonprofit Management has been developed, in cooperation between the USC Price School and the Zelikow School of Jewish Nonprofit Management at HUC-JIR, to prepare those students who want to pursue a career in Jewish nonprofit management.

Master of Public Administration/Master of Science in Gerontology (MPA/MS)

The Master of Public Administration/Master of Science in Gerontology dual degree offers students interested in management of agencies and institutions the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the administrative and organizational processes and management skills necessary for the effective delivery of services to older persons.

Master of Public Administration/Master of Social Work (MPA/MSW)

The MPA/MSW dual degree offers students interested in careers as administrators of social agencies the opportunity to prepare for social work while developing the administrative capabilities necessary in the public sector.

Juris Doctor/Master of Public Administration (JD/MPA)

The dual degree program with the USC Gould School of Law and the USC Price School of Public Policy enables qualified students to earn a Juris Doctor/Master of Public Administration (JD/MPA) in approximately four years of study.
