Naval ROTC

MECEP and STA-21

For those with previous military experience, pursuing further education and training at USC could be the right path for you.

MECEP

The Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program is designed to provide current Marines with an opportunity to earn a college degree and become a commissioned Marine Corps officer. To learn more about this program, visit the MECEP website.

As a part of the program, your main focus will be on academics in order to graduate and ultimately commission. As a MECEP, you can expect that we will rely on your experience, maturity, and mentorship to help develop Midshipmen into the future leaders of the Navy and the Marine Corps. Your interactions with Midshipmen will also aid in your own professional development. USC’s active duty staff will make sure that you and your family are taken care of and that you have all the resources you need in order to be successful – as a Marine and as a student.

If you are considering attending USC as a MECEP or have further questions, you can contact the Marine Officer Instructor Capt Mallory S. VanderSchans at [email protected] or the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor SSgt Carolina Arzate at [email protected].

STA-21

The Seaman to Admiral 21 Program was created to provide outstanding sailors with a college education and to become commissioned officers. More information can be found through the Navy’s STA-21 website.

If you are considering attending USC or have further questions, you can contact the Recruiting Officer at [email protected].
