Biography
Gary Blackard is President and CEO of Adult & Teen Challenge (ATC), a faith-based, addiction recovery organization founded in 1958. With more than 200 locations in North America, Adult & Teen Challenge USA is one of the largest addiction recovery networks in the world.
Gary gained extensive global experience while serving Xerox Corporation as Vice President for Client Operations and Strategic Services Delivery. Immediately before accepting the position at ATCUSA, Gary served as Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at Evangel University.
Gary is currently an Adjunct Professor for the graduate program in Healthcare Administration at the University of Southern California. His past clients include several Fortune 500 companies such as Kaiser Permanente, WellPoint, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Cisco, Northrop Grumman, and IBM.
Gary earned his B.A. in Business Administration with emphasis in Organizational Management from Vanguard University and his Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Southern California. He holds two certifications: one as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and one as a StratOp Facilitator. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Gary and his wife Debra have been married for over thirty-three years and have two children and four grandchildren.
