The mission of Mentorship for an Accessible Price (MAP) centers on making graduate school at the Sol Price School of Public Policy more accessible and equitable to communities of color and identities of difference by providing support, mentorship, and guidance in the application process and student experience. *To achieve this goal, MAP recruits current USC Price students to act as applicant mentors giving potential students advice on their Statement of Purpose and resume, the application process, and general student perspective at Price. MAP also advocates for improved funding infrastructure for graduate students of color through the creation and promotion of policy memos, educational events and community building with graduate students and other recognized student organizations. We believe in lifting as we climb to ensure a more diverse and equitable Price to promote varied perspectives and identities in public service.
*All who are interested in being mentors or mentees are eligible to apply, but the program highly encourages individuals from historically disenfranchised communities to participate.
MAP does not have any influence over the decision making process for USC Price admissions.
