BRED & BREFD Career Services

In addition to the USC Career Center, BRED and BREFD students are encourage to take advantage of the numerous opportunities to help them plan their career in real estate.

Internship Requirement

Undergraduates at USC Price must complete RED 301, which includes a 100-hour internship requirement and lab.

BRED and MRED Real Estate Employment Report

Each year the Price School releases a Real Estate Employment Report summarizing the placement and salaries of recent graduates from both the Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development (BRED) and the Dollinger Master of Real Estate Development (MRED).

Professional Organizations

Students are encouraged to strengthen ties to the real estate industry through membership in professional organizations. The Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and NAIOP are among the organizations that offer useful services, conferences, and publications. Many of the professional organizations offer special rates for student members.

Trojan Real Estate Association

The USC Trojan Real Estate Association provides a forum for undergraduate students to establish their network of contacts, a necessary resource for the industry. Each year TREA hosts alumni speaker panels, site visits to projects under construction, and opportunities to meet with real estate employers.

Professional Designation

Under an articulation agreement between the California Department of Real Estate and USC, certain RED courses fulfill a portion of the requirements for the California real estate sales or broker license.
