Are there stipends available for Price D.C. Students?

Yes! Students who participate in the Price Policy Semester in DC will be eligible to receive a stipend of up to $600 toward travel and $1250 towards housing.

What is the expected cost for the D.C. Semester?

The same USC tuition and fees that students pay for courses on main campus transfer to the courses at the USC Capital Campus.

Where do USC students live in D.C.?

All USC students have the option to live together in housing provided by the USC Capital Campus team.

How do Price D.C. students get around town?

The USC Capital Campus will facilitate the Metro UPASS for our USC students studying in D.C. The U-Pass is Metro’s college program giving students unlimited rides on Metrorail and Metrobus throughout the semester, equivalent to $1 per day.

Do I have to be a Price Major?

No, the Price Policy Semester in D.C. is open to all majors. If you are considering the program be sure to meet with your academic advisor when considering studying in D.C.

Do I have support from USC Price in my D.C. internship search?

Yes, once you’ve been accepted into the program, you will have access to resources specifically curated for your search for internships in D.C. in Handshake to make the process of landing an internship easier to navigate.

Are Internships paid?

Internships in Washington D.C. can be paid or unpaid depending on the organization. Some congressional offices and nonprofits offer stipends, but getting paid is not guaranteed.

What is the application deadline?

We take applications on a rolling basis with a Priority Deadline in May, Early Deadline in July, and Final Deadline in September. For the most up to date deadlines please visit the “How to Apply” page.

Who should write my letter of recommendation?

Letters should be submitted by a professor you feel can speak best to you and your ability to participate in this program.

When will I find out if I am accepted?

Once the priority deadline has passed you will be asked to participate in an interview. Please allow up to two weeks after the deadline has passed to be notified.
