Esther Lanier

Biography

Esther Lanier is the Associate Director of Employer Relations at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Career Center, where she leads strategic initiatives to connect students and alumni with career pathways in an evolving global economy. In her role, she oversees the employer relations and career readiness units, driving partnerships that expand job and experiential learning opportunities while strengthening recruitment pipelines for CSUN graduates.

With more than 17 years of experience in higher education career counseling, Esther has developed and implemented impactful programs that enhance student career readiness and employer engagement. She holds a master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Career Counseling from CSUN and brings a multidisciplinary background spanning human resources, banking, and entertainment.

A trusted advisor and advocate for student success, Esther is dedicated to preparing the next generation of professionals with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to thrive in competitive industries. Beyond her professional work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through cake baking and cookie decorating.
